“This book was a delight to read” is how Dolly Pentreath and the Cornish Language, recently published by Agan Tavas, was described in a rare five-star review for the national book shop, Foyles. The same review has since appeared on the Waterstone’s website.
The book was in popular demand at this year’s annual Gorsedh in Bodmin, and orders have been received from all over the UK and from North America. It has even been reviewed in Btittany on Breizh-Info. This is not surprising , given the importance of Dolly in Cornish history and her relevance to the fall and rise of the language.
Davyth Fear concluded his Foyles review by stating: “All in all, an essential read for anyone with an interest in the language.”
